We have had a fantastic week, celebrating reading, writing, poetry and performance! Our week has included fabulous, interactive workshops, led by two brilliant authors where the children had to chance to write their own stories or create their own fantasy Island.
We all gathered together for our annual and much loved Speaking Out Competition where children performed poems brilliantly, both individually and as classes – absolutely outstanding from start to finish! Congratulations to our winners Jesse (Year 3) Rex (Year 4), Ruby (Year 5) and Amelia (Year 6), Class 1 and Class 6!
World Book Day on Thursday was loved by all, where we enjoyed lots of opportunities for children to share their favourite books with each other, spending some extended time reading both individually and together and being inspired to try new books and authors.
So another busy week, full of fun and rich opportunities to grow and flourish!
