We are currently seeking an excellent full-time Teaching Assistant with the ability to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities including those with EHCPs (specific needs include autism and ADHD). The role will also involve leading small group interventions to allow children to reach their full potential. The position will be based mainly in Year 3. A Lunchtime Supervisor position will also be part of this role. For the right candidate, we can offer a degree of flexibility in working patterns.
The ideal candidate will have a confident and kind nature and a passion for working with children with a range of needs. The candidate must have an understanding of the National Curriculum particularly in Key Stage 2, a willingness to work collaboratively, an understanding of some of the barriers to learning and an ability to adapt the activities to maximise learning. We are an extremely dedicated and forward thinking team with a strong Christian ethos at the heart of the school.
Applicants must preferably have an NVQ Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience and ideally have experience in delivering phonics.
