Yesterday, Year 4 went on walking tour of Cheltenham. This involved geography fieldwork on the land and building use along Montpellier, as well looking at the features of historic development on buildings, linked to their topic on how Cheltenham has grown over time.
They also visited Wilson Art Gallery, where the children found out more about Wilson the explorer and the Antarctic landscape. They were given the opportunity to participate in a drawing activity, play a game based on Wilson’s expedition and try on actual clothes worn by members of the expedition.
The children had a brilliant day exploring Cheltenham. They also had picnic at Pittville Park which was a really fabulous location to end the trip.
Thank you to the children who represented St Mark’s so well and were a delight to take out.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
