In Outdoor Learning last Autumn, term some of the children in year 5 made bat boxes. On Wednesday morning the children took a trip to Benhall park to install some of their bat boxes. The other bat boxes made will be going up in parks across Cheltenham. It was a really proud moment for the children to witness their creations being put up and to think that their boxes may provide a home for a family of bats.
A big thank you to Mr Papworth for organising the materials for the boxes. We are so grateful and this project has been something we have all enjoyed.
We are also planning on going on a bat walk in the next week, so watch this space....
