St. Mark's Summer Fair
St. Mark's opened it's gates to the community on Saturday the 22nd June for it's annual summer fair. The sunshine joined us for a wonderful afternoon full of many activities, games, raffle, BBQ and drinks, and we were lucky enough to have it all accompanied by the amazing talented musicians from Cheltenham Silver Training Band. A truly lovely community event.
Youth For Christ Activity Day
On Friday 10th May, St. Mark's was fortunate to be involved in an activity day, raising money for the charity Youth For Christ. The children all participated in activities designed to promote the values of Healthy Body, Healthy Mind and Healthy Soul. For more information about Youth For Christ follow https://yfc.co.uk/
The school and local community are coming together to create a symbolic representation of faith in our community through the diverse medium of art. Children at St. Mark's have created a 'God's Eye' woven piece of art. This activity has provided an opportunity for mindful reflection and promoting children's well-being. Members of the St. Mark's community will be invited to construct a cross made from the children's art pieces in celebration of Easter. This will be displayed in the school hall as a focal point for our Collective Worship.
This collaboration celebrates the unity within our community and represents how God watches over us.
"The Lord will watch over your coming and going now and forevermore." Psalms 121:8.
Poppy, " I made them to make people happy. I made them as a gift for others as a reminder that I care about them. "
Theo, " They represent God looking over us. I found it really peaceful and calming."
Harvey, " It makes me feel super happy as it makes me feel that God is by my side."
Jayden, " It makes my heart happy because it reminds me that God is watching over me."
