We are committed to providing early help to our children and families as soon as any problem emerges, at any point during the time that your child is at St Mark’s C. E Junior School. Early help can be needed for many different reasons.

Who should I contact if I need help or have concerns?
The first step is to make contact with your child’s class teacher who will know who is best placed to help you. We have designated members of staff who can help in many ways.
What sort of help is available?
Within school the following may be available according to identified need-
targeted support within curriculum areas and specific intervention to address learning/physical and behaviour needs
Pastoral support including counselling, play therapy, drawing and talking therapy and Winstons Wish bereavement support
We are also able to signpost and support access to a wide range of services within the local community and this includes the following- Families First Plus, Young Carers, speech and language therapists, school nurse services, health workers, social services, Educational Psychologists, Children and Young People’s Service (CYPS) and occupational health services, Citizens advice, Housing services, Parenting support, Financial Support and Relationship help.
