Year 6 Science Morning - Dean Close School

 

Year 6 were invited to Dean Close school to carry out 3 scientific investigations.  In chemistry the children calculated the volume of CO2 in different fizzy drinks. In the physics lab children explored electric magnetism to see how they could increase magnetic attraction. They also had an insight into how chromatography is used to separate out compounds. This experience certainly created a lot of enthusiasm for Science!

Many thanks to Dean Close for allowing our Year 6 pupils to visit.
