Monday saw Year 6 treated the wonderful Mo Follis from Stemworks.
The all day computer workshop involved learning about logic and how to write a program to control a model robot constructed out of lego.
Students worked in teams of 3 and during the day the teams were assessed and the best team from each school will be invited to visit a local company for a half day event involving teams from around 6 other schools in the district.
Our winning team was Emily, Lucie and Ben.
"We had to follow the instructions on the computer to build our robot, but if you made just 1 mistake your robot would fall apart!" Violet.
"We programmed ours to do tasks such as; score a goal, dance, turn and move forwards and park. Ours was called RX2000!" Lewis and Henry
