Last Thursday Year 3 spent the day at the 'At-Bristol' science museum. 'At Bristol' is an exciting project which aims to excite peoples' interest in the world around them and in science in general. The children took part in the many fun and interactive activities on offer. Alfie (class 3) had a go at an optical illusion experiment, he explained: "we went into this room that made you feel like you were falling - it looked like it should have sloped up when it went down."
Lily (class 3): "You could go into something that felt like being in your Mum's tummy as a baby - you waited a couple of seconds and you could feel the floor moving. You could also hear somebody talking like it was your Mum."
Alfie: "I liked the bit where we melted ice with hot water and looked at the amazing patterns in the ice with a magnifying glass. Some of them looked like trees."
Maybe the visit has helped inspire some some of our young scientists at St Mark's!
