This week our year 5 classes had the opportunity to attend the Waitrose kitchen studio and turn their hand at making pizza.
The children all worked independently and all made an individual topped pizza dough to take home. They were all taught about the different food groups and about nutrition. The pupils also had time to have a tasting session where they tried different breads from around the world.
When the children weren't cooking they went to visit the rest of the store and take a quiz on the different produce the store provides its customers and investigate where Waitrose famously gets a lot of their produce from.
The children had a fabulous morning and by all accounts thoroughly enjoyed their pizza the same evening!
A big thank you to the Waitrose staff for putting on a fantastic day.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
