Last week saw our year 6 visit the local synagogue iCheltenham for the afternoon. Our pupils experienced an array of activities, Charlie would like to share the story they were told with you.The story was told by the instructor, and goes like this;
Once there was a very noisy family who were very naughty and who were always fighting and arguing. The head of the family went to the Bimah to ask what they should do about their noisy family and the Bimah told the Father to put all their animals in the house with them, so in went: goats, cows, sheep and chickens. The house now was even noisier than before, so the Mother went back to the Bimah to ask again what to do. The Bimah told them to take the chickens out of the house, so she went home and did what they were told but, it was still noisy and they were still fighting.The Mother went back for the final time to the Bimah who told them to take out the cow, then the goat and the pig. Once all the animals were out of the house it was very quiet indeed and the family all got on.
A very wise Bimah!
