Our new year 3's had a fantastic day on our first day back after the summer holidays dressed up as someone from the Stoneage.
This day will be used to support their learning within the classroom. Activities for the day included making flat bread from flour, water, oil, and butter.
The making of butter by using cream pored into a glass jar with an added marble, which the children shook vigorously to thicken the cream to eventually make butter. Later, all the children were able to eat all their hard work.
Our pupils took part in an archeological dig containg stoneage and modern objects.
To finish the day children also looked at artefacts from the time and drew them into their books as well as looking back at a time line.
A fantastic day was had by both staff and pupils.
