Last Friday, Year 4 went on a trip to the Science Festival. It was a fantastic day with beautiful weather. There were so many opportunities to explore various experiences throughout the day and they learnt a great deal about sound and bodily functions! It was great to see children on the local news sharing their experiences! Fantastic behaviour as always and it was a delight to take the children out for the day.
A student in Year 4 has written such a wonderful Science Festival write up, we had to include some of it in this article. Well done Samuel!
‘Year 4 went on an awesome trip to the unique and spectacular Cheltenham Science Festival. With sections of different scientific experiments, we also went through an artery to lean about fartology.
Aeroplanes - At the aeroplane section, there were lots of amazing activities. There was a game section where you had to land the plane without crashing.
Computers - In the computer section, there were worksheets, video games and air hockey.
Fartology - When we went through the artery to learn about fartology, there were lots of interesting experiments and facts. One of the teachers had to eat bogeys and we learnt that they’re actually good for your immune system! The person showing us all the experiments also shot gas rings around the room that smelled like chocolate and even catapulted a bunny!’
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
