As you may be aware, we received our SIAMS Inspection last Friday for the first time since 2015.
Usually inspections are undertaken every 5 years, but due to Covid, the inspection was delayed. Schools are given 5 school days’ notice before the inspection in order to make the necessary arrangements for the day.
The inspection seeks to answer the question: How effective is the school’s distinctive Christian Vision established and promoted by leadership at all levels, in enabling pupils and adults to flourish?
Although I am unable to share the outcome until the final report comes through (expected in the next 2 weeks), I can tell you that the day was very positive and we were delighted that the inspector gained a real insight into the way in which children and families are enabled to grow and flourish at St Mark’s. Of course, I will share the final report with you as soon as I am able! Enormous thanks to you as parents, for your ongoing commitment and support to your children and to us as a school, which in turn, enables our whole school community to thrive.
Hamper Scamper—Christmas Food Donations
As a demonstration of our value of Compassion for our community, we will be collecting for those who are unable to provide yummy treats for their family this Christmas.
Collections start today until 9th December. There is absolutely no pressure to bring items in but if you are able, we would be delighted to receive your donation. More information on Page 3.
Christmas Fayre Non Uniform Day—Friday 2nd December
We are getting ready for our Christmas Fayre, taking place on Friday 9th December. In return for coming in non-uniform, please bring a bottle or a teddy. More information of all of our Christmas activities below and attached on the PTA Christmas flyer.
