The children in year 3 had a visit from the Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service this week. Needless to say the children were thrilled and engaged brilliantly with the firefighters. The fire engine was a big hit and the firefighters demonstrated various pieces of kit, including the cutters and hose. The children even got to try and knock over some cones with water from the hoses.
The children asked some really important questions about fire safety and the firefighters spoke about the importance of have working smoke detectors as well as what to do in an emergency.
A big thankyou to the brigade for taking time out of their day to visit us!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
