Yesterday afternoon St. Mark's was very lucky to have been visited by author Debbie Evans. She spoke to us about how she became a writer and tips on developing our creative writing skills. The children thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.
"She inspired me to not give up on something you believe in. It encouraged me to want to go and write myself and helped me realise that everything can be seen as something different. " Evie
"She inspired me to begin writing my own book. I loved hearing about the time-travelling and the dragon." Theo
"I thought she had a vast imagination. I liked the way she told her stories and how she got her inspiration from her surroundings to make it feel like it could be real. She inspired me to expand my imagination and not be afraid of what others may think." Millie
