This week Year 6 went on a field trip to Bourton-on-the-Water. The children conducted surveys and carried out questionnaires and using maps and plans researched what types of land-use there is in Bourton. For example they looked at the different types of buildings and what they are used for. They then compared this to our local area, Benhall, Cheltenham and Gloucester.
The children really enjoyed the morning and were interested in how tourism has influenced the type of building use in Bourton-on-the-Water, particularly the number of cafes! We had great morning and the children were a credit to St Mark’s. Here are some photos that the children took themselves.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
