We have been so lucky to welcome authors Hannah Shaw and Darren Simpson to St Mark’s this week to deliver assemblies and workshops with the children. The children were thoroughly entertained by both authors as they shared their journeys into the profession and how they created their characters. Each year group also participated in a workshop to create their own map creating exciting ideas from their own imagination. Y3 and Y4 children were given an opportunity to have a go at drawing a ‘Unipiggle!’ and Y5 and Y6 children created their own world and designed an advert to encourage people to visit their world.
Thank you to everyone who has enabled this event to go ahead as it has been a truly valuable experience for the children.
