Yesterday, our year 5s went on their school trip to Warwick Castle as part of their crime and punishment classroom topic. This trip really helps our pupils understand the punishments given to different crimes as they look back through times in history.
Our pupils had a fantastic day exploring the castle and its grounds by visiting The Jail, The Time Tower, The Great Hall and the rest of the Castle, as well as watching the resident birds of prey take flight and learning all about them. They also all had the opportunity to get into small groups and have a talk on all the grim punishments given out through the ages.
Those brave enough took to the towers and walked the hundreds of tiny stone spiral steps up the staircase to the watch tower, where they were then met with the beautiful views over Warwickshire.
"I loved the castle the best!" Madison
"We loved the bird show because we got to see the birds fly we haven't seen before." Noah and Sammy
