On Tuesday this week, our year 3s and year 5s walked up to St. Mark's church for experience Easter, where they had the opportunity to learn about the story of Easter in greater depth. Children went around the church to different stations, where they were met by church members, to talk about the last 24 hours of Jesus' life. They took part in writing their own wishes for the future and placing those wishes within the stones at the alter, eating bread and drinking blackcurrant juice, talking about what those things represent and they even got to make little objects out of Playdough to represent conquering fears.
A beautiful morning was had by all with a deeper understanding of the Easter message. Thank you to St.Mark's church and The Open The Book team.
