One of the charities we have chosen to support this year is Marie Curie Cancer Care. Each child has been given a daffodil to grow and care for during the Autumn months. In the spring we will be asking the children to bring their beautiful daffodils back into school where they will be given the opportunity to decorate their pot and enter their daffodil into our whole school competition.
Whilst their daffodil is growing we would like the children to collect money for this very worthwhile charity in the envelope provided. There is a daffodil for them to colour as they gather donations.
Good luck and keep watering!
Growing tips............
1. Water the compost regularly so that it is moist. Try not to water your plant too much - you don't want to drown it. Watering it well once a week should be enough.
2. Between October and February store your Mini Pots of Care outside.
3. You will only need to shelter your plant in a shed or garage if there is a severe frost or snow.
4. If your daffodil is too warm or too dark its leaves and stem will grow pale and weak.
5. Watch your daffodil grow and bloom.
