Comenius

Welcome to our 'Comenius' project Page.

  'A European Playground'

During February and March 2008 30 children, over three weeks, decorated Totem poles with pictures from our European partners traditional tales. Here are some pictures showing you how we made them and the artists standing with their finished creations. They are now standing proud in our European area at the front of the school.

Comenius Update:

During 2008 May half term, six children and 3 teachers, were lucky enough to visit our partner school at Rathcormach, Ireland. We all had a great time making friends with children from Newnham St Peters in England, Poland and Ireland. Whilst in Ireland we all kissed the Blarney stone that gave us the gift of the gab! Visiting the Irish partners school was a real treat, we exchanged our traditional tale books that each country have created and experienced hurling.

I hope you enjoy looking at a selection of photos from our trip. Diaries of our experiences can be found at the bottom of this page.

In May 2009 6 children will be travelling to Denmark. We look forward to sharing our experiences with you.

Miss Hickson
